– A bee is a very important component among the pollinating insects. There are other insects that pollinate as well, but wild bees are more efficient and for almost everything we eat, pollination is needed, says Henrik Sundberg.
Facilitates reproduction
The environment created with sand is warm and means that wild bees can always find a place to live. The higher temperature also facilitates reproduction.
– There are other bees that are more weather dependent. When it’s a little cold, they stay in their hives and eat in their storerooms. But the wild bees are more out and do not have storage, they are extra important because they are looking for food regardless of the weather, says Henrik Sundberg.
