More than two hours to go, with a change in conditions due to sunset, and triumph of Alejandro Galán and Juan Lebrón in the final of the Italian Major, the second test of the FIP Premier. They defeated in the final Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno, couple number two, and the winner of the Doha tournament.
The final in Italy has been changeable, but Galán and Lebrón have adapted better. Paco and Martin worked a sublime first set to win 6-4, dominating, without fail, commanding the net. The problem was Galán, without sensations, dominated, and with all the volume of play for him. The party was on the way to a repeat of the Doha result, but Navarro and Di Nenno did not take advantage of two break chances in two games of the second set, with which Galán found his winning shots and imposed his punch when the climax came: 7-5 in the second.
In the third, Lebrón and Galán broke in the first game, and then just kept their serve, in the moments in which the rush caused unforced errors from the rivals, or blows that went off the script and dislocated the defense. Another 6-4. Payback to the first, and now the entire tiebreaker will be in July in Paris.
