As the war between Russia and Ukraine enters its 4th month, a very controversial claim came from Russia. The British press once again brought up the claim that Vladimir Putin had cancer and announced that the life expectancy that doctors had set for Putin was 3 years at the most.
VISION ALSO DECREASED
The British newspaper cited an agent from Russia’s state internal security agency, the Federal Security Service (FSB), as its source. While the source’s name was kept secret for security reasons, it was reported that Putin had a serious regression in his eyesight due to his illness.
‘ SITUATION IS GOING Worse
The Russian agent told the newspaper, “He needs notepads with everything in capital letters that show him what to say when he goes on TV. The letters written on these papers are so large that there are only a few sentences on each page. The condition in his eyes is seriously deteriorating.”
Accompanying 5 DIFFERENT DOCTORS
In documents previously published by Proekt, a Russia-based research platform, it was claimed that at least 5 different doctors accompanied Putin during his visits. In the same documents, it was stated that Otorhinolaryngologist Yevgeny Selivanov, who specializes in Thyroid Cancer, never left the Russian leader’s side.
‘FIGMENT’
The Kremlin denied this information and banned the research company from publishing in Russia. Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitri Peskov claimed that the documents were fictitious and stated that the allegations contained herein did not reflect the truth.
POSSIBLE CANDIDATES ARE TALKING
According to the British press, Mikhail Mishustin is the most likely candidate to replace Putin if he dies. Mishustin, who serves as Russia’s prime minister, is second only to Putin in the political hierarchy.
Sergei Sobyanin, the current mayor of the country’s capital, Moscow, is also among the possible names. Nikolay Patrushev, who has served as the head of Russia’s security council since 2008, is also one of the names on the list.
