In Pokémon GO, tomorrow, May 29, 2022, is the GO Big Battle Day in the PvP League. You can also rely on mega developments for the first time. We at MeinMMO have summarized all the information about the event for you below.

What is GO Battle Day? Pokémon GO is currently in the mid-season of the GO Battle League, which will run until June 1st. At the end of the season, a special day of battle will take place.

At this event you can compete in a particularly large number of PvP battles, receive a good deal of stardust and, on top of that, you can also rely on your mega developments for the first time.

All information about the GO fight day

When is GO Battle Day? The battle day starts on May 29th at 00:00 local time and runs until 23:59 local time.

In which leagues can you play? You can battle other Trainers in Super, Hyper, and Master Leagues during GO Battle Day.

What bonuses are there? Throughout the GO Battle Day, you can enjoy the following bonuses:

  • up to 20 battle sets (100 battles) that day
  • four times as much Stardust if you win
  • Gladio Pants as an avatar item when completing a set, regardless of rank
  • Unfortunately, if you have already received this item, you will not receive it again
  • Using Mega Evolutions
  • Mega Evolutions in PvP Battles – You have to pay attention to that

With the recent changes related to Mega Evolutions, you can now use your Mega Pokémon in the Master League for the first time on GO Battle Day. The mega developments are temporary further developments of individual monsters, such as Gyarados or Charizard.

Here’s how you can use them: In order for you to be able to access the Mega Evolutions, you must evolve your desired monster into a Mega before the battle. To do this, go to your Pokémon storage and select the desired monster. There you have a button that you can use to trigger the development.

If you have already evolved the Pokémon into a Mega, then the re-evolution is now free for you. If this is not the case, then you must expend a certain amount of Mega Energy. Depending on the monster, this is between 100 and 300 mega energy. You can see exactly how high it is from the display on the development policy button.

What Mega Pokémon are there? There are currently 21 different Mega Evolutions possible in the game. You can therefore fall back on the following Mega Pokémon:

  • Mega Venusaur (Plant/Poison)
  • Mega Charizard X (Fire/Dragon)
  • Mega Charizard Y (Fire/Flying)
  • Mega Turbok (Water)
  • Mega Bibor (Bug/Poison)
  • Mega Pigeon Boss (Normal/Flying)
  • Mega Slowmus (Water/Psycho)
  • Mega Gengar (Ghost/Venom)
  • Mega-Kangama (Normal)
  • Mega Gyarados (Water/Dark)
  • Mega Aerodactyl (Rock/Flying)
  • Mega Ampharos (Electro/Dragon)
  • Mega Steelix (Steel/Ground)
  • Mega Dogemon (Dark/Fire)
  • Mega Voltenso (Electro)
  • Mega Altaria (Dragon/Fairy)
  • Mega Absol (dark)
  • Mega Latias (Dragon/Psycho)
  • Mega Latios (Dragon/Psycho)
  • Mega Lopey (Normal/Combat)
  • Mega Rexblisar (Plant/Ice)
  • You have to note that: Only one Mega Evolution can be active at a time. Once you’ve triggered it, it’s active for eight hours. If you then want to evolve another Mega Pokémon, the Mega Evolution of the previous monster will end. You will receive a corresponding message in the game.

It’s best to think about which Mega Pokémon you want to use in battle beforehand, so you don’t have to keep developing them from scratch. In addition, you should note that the Mega Pokémon can only be used in the Master League.

Is GO Battle Day Worth It?

If you like being in the GO Battle League and want to compete against other trainers, you should definitely use the GO Battle Day. Instead of the usual 25 fights, which you can complete at most every day, you have the opportunity to compete 100 times on the day of the fight.

Of course, this also increases the amount of your rewards. In addition, if you win the battles, you will get the chance to farm a lot of Stardust. So it can really be worth it. With the introduction of Mega Evolutions for the first time in the Master League, the battles will also become really exciting.
