Former United States President Donald Trump says events such as the one in Uvalde, Texas, earlier this week, in which an 18-year-old shot dead 19 children and two adults at a school, are not grounds for tightening gun laws.
“The existence of evil in the world is not a reason to disarm law-abiding citizens,” Trump said during the NRA’s annual trade fair.
Trump says that events such as the one in Uvalde are one reason why it should be easier to get weapons.
