During the project, the meal hosts relieved regular nursing staff with meal service and received requests from the residents and handled other food purchases.
– We have heard that it is appreciated by our residents who have also stayed longer at the dining tables. We also experience that the appetite has improved among the residents, even though we do not have any measurable results, says Johanna Carlsson, business developer at Kristinagården.
Cost millions
The whole thing has cost SEK 1.6 million and has been financed, with funds used for collaborations between municipal activities.
– We looked at other alternatives but came to the conclusion that meal hosts were the most interesting and relevant right now, says Johanna Carlsson.
