Skåne has received an increase on the wolf front. It is about a new litter of wolf puppies that has been discovered by the county administrative board in the area Linderödsåsen in eastern Skåne.
“I was out in the area to check both tips and game cameras. 50-60 meters away, I caught a glimpse of something moving, ”says David Börjesson, game manager at the County Administrative Board in Skåne, in a press release.
Last winter, it was established that a wolf male from Västmanland and a female wolf from Östergötland established a territory in Skåne – the first in modern times. The couple got a litter in the autumn of 2021, when a total of eight wolves were caught in the picture.
The new puppies born in the spring are believed to be around a month old.
