What is a temporary tattoo?

Unlike a real tattoo or a semi-permanent tattoo, an ephemeral tattoo applies via a decal process and can be removed at any time with a few simple gestures.

A classic ephemeral tattoo lasts between three to ten days depending on its maintenance, i.e. more than a week. Some so-called long-lasting temporary tattoos can be worn intact for more than two weeks!

But this is not the only advantage of temporary tattoo. A temporary tattoo can be:

  • original (a unique design drawn by a professional tattoo artist);
  • worn for one evening only;
  • personalized (size, colorlocation…) ;
  • accessible (the price range is extremely wide)…

How to apply a temporary tattoo?

Temporary tattoos come with instructionsapplication precise. And the tattoos that use the decal principle are generally all applied in the same way:

  1. shaving, cleaning and drying the skin in preparation for tattooing;
  2. gently remove the film plastic of the leaflet;
  3. position the front of the sheet against the skin, at the desired location;
  4. fully moisten the tattoo sheet with a damp cloth or sponge;
  5. wait a few seconds before removing the sheet from the skin;
  6. enjoy the result for several days!

Obviously, some temporary tattoos are easier to apply than others, depending on their size and the location chosen for the application.

To remove a temporary tattoo, simply apply solvent without acetoneof the’alcohol or oily lotion on the drawing. Then rub gently with a cotton ball, sponge or washcloth.

Ephemeral tattoo: for what occasions?

Wedding, feast day or pregnancy… Many events can be celebrated with one or more temporary tattoos. Some evenings even provide for the presence of a bar with ephemeral tattoos at the reception venue, to amuse the guests and give them new experiences.
