The producer of Halo shared his thoughts about the series on Twitter, and Marcus Lehto stated that it was different from the Halo universe he had contributed to before.
The producer of Halo used the expressions “This is not Halo that I contributed to the production of” while expressing his opinions about the series. Former Halo art director Marcus Lehto shared his impressions of the Halo series on Twitter and commented, “I’m seriously curious what their inspiration was for this series.”
Halo producer has mixed impressions of the series
Marcus Lehto was one of the earliest members of Bungie, the maker of Halo. After taking over the graphics and art design of Myth: The Fallen Lords, he became the art director of Halo: Combat Evolved. Lehto, who assumed this role in Halo 2 and Halo 3, took the role of creative director in Halo: Reach, the last Halo game developed by Bungie, and left the company in 2012.
Lehto, probably from his past with the Halo series, decided to watch the series. Looking at Lehto’s tweets, it can be said that he is a little confused about the series. Marcus Lehto, who stated that he had “mixed feelings” before ending the series, clarified his ideas in the dialogues he had with his followers. Lehto clarified, “This is not the Halo I made”, as “it’s not the Halo I helped make”. Then, he clarified his comment on the series as “I didn’t say I didn’t like the show, it just felt very different from Halo, which I contributed to the production of, as if it was talking about another universe”.
