A doctor who was under the influence of drug-classified tablets collided when he was driving in a race with another motorist in Malmö. The man is now charged with aggravated drunk driving and negligence in traffic, writes Expressen.
“A doctor must know when a dose is too high,” prosecutor Martin Drugge told the newspaper.
The drama occurred in March last year. Witnesses have said that the doctor was driving in the middle of another motorist when he lost control and collided with a railing.
It turned out that the doctor was under the influence of several drugs, including tramadol.
The doctor himself says that he is taking the medication due to back problems.
The man, who is still on duty, denies the allegations and says he does not remember anything from the accident. According to him, he must have had some form of blackout.
