Wolf resistant grids cannot cope with wolf exhibiting unnatural behavior

Across the Netherlands, 4,701 farm animals have been killed in attacks. Not only sheep, but also ponies, horses, foals, cows, calves, goats, wallabies and alpacas have been attacked. The wolf was definitely the perpetrator 3242 times, the dog 227 times, the fox 54 times and the golden jackal 16 times. According to BIJ12, in 1004 cases it is not (yet) known which animal bitten. The wolf pack on the border of Drenthe and Friesland is responsible for almost 20 percent of the number of dead animals.
