Grace (Samara Weaving) marries Alex Le Domas (Mark O’Brien) and couldn’t be happier as a young bride. She is invited into the bosom of her new husband’s wealthy, eccentric relatives, who include Becky (Andie MacDowell), Daniel (Adam Brody), Helene (Nicky Guadagni) and Tony (Henry Czerny).

Directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin enjoy pitting their obnoxious characters against each other. Ready or Not is what you get when You’re Next, Succession and Knives Out meet. Cynical humor and sometimes contemptuous violence alternate and arise from the personal relationships between the characters, which are developed more or less incidentally.
And Ready or Not almost unpredictable: As the scenario escalates, Samara Weaving becomes the linchpin of the plot and ultimately the heroine of the story.
