An 85-year-old man has been found seriously injured outdoors in a small town outside Halmstad, the police write on their website.
A preliminary investigation into attempted murder has been launched and a 65-year-old man has been arrested.
The police have investigated the crime scene and are knocking on doors in the area. The injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
