The search for an 85-year-old man is ongoing in Hallstahammar in Västmanland for the third day.
– It is an extensive effort, says police spokesperson Jonas Eronen.
The police, who cooperate with Missing people and the Home Guard, had regular police officers, dog patrols, helicopters and drones on site during Sunday.
At 10:15 p.m., the police announced that the man had not yet been found. The search effort was then still ongoing.
– As long as we have hope of finding him alive, we will continue, says Eronen.
The man was last seen at Knektbacken at lunchtime on Friday when he was going on an errand. According to the police description, he was wearing blue jeans, a worn knee-length grey-green jacket, a thicker woolen cap with ear flaps and brown boots or larger walking shoes.
There is no suspicion of crime in connection with the disappearance.
