What changes in the new Batman series?
For the new Batman series, DC Comics is going to innovations in both Gotham City and Batman’s visual design. Drawer Jorge Jiménez said that they brought Batman’s classic blue costume back with a modern touch. “We aim to bring a new breath to the aesthetics of Gotham City and Batman,” Jiménez said, “While we are loyal to the designs we have made before,” Jiménez said. It has been announced that the new visual design will create a modern atmosphere while respecting classical stories.
The new series also announced that Gotham City’s aesthetic structure will be made. While Gotham maintains its dark and threatening atmosphere, references will be made to classical Batman stories with small touches. DC, Batmobile, such as Batman’s iconic vehicles will return with new designs, but the details have not yet been shared, he said.
Batman’s solo comic book series was first released in 1940. The first restart of the series was made in 2011 under the name “The New 52”, which was a major project that modernized the DC universe. Later, the Batman series, which was once again renewed with “DC Rebirth” in 2016, will now start from scratch for the fourth time in 2025.
