80 dead in Israeli airstrikes – UN school destroyed

At least 80 people have died in Israeli airstrikes, the Hamas-run health agency claims.

The attack is said to have taken place against the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. BBC has verified footage showing many casualties at the designated location.

UN school completely destroyed

But there is still uncertainty about what happened.

Israel has neither confirmed nor denied that it is behind the attack. According to AFP, the Israeli military leadership states that they “will investigate the matter.”

A UN school that was run in the refugee camp is said to have been completely destroyed. It is unclear how many civilians were killed there.

Evacuation chaos at al-Shifa hospital

At the same time, a mass evacuation is underway from the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza. During Saturday morning, information came that the Israeli military was behind the decision. Something they rejected – and claimed instead that it was done at the hospital director’s request.

After several attacks, thousands try to escape from the hospital’s unbearable conditions.

– People are dead but no one is buried. There is no food, nothing to drink. Nothing,” says one of the patients who fled the hospital.

– There are no doctors left. They have fled.

The Israeli military leadership claims that, in cooperation with the hospital, they are doing everything they can to allow civilians to leave the war-torn areas.
