8-year-old Elsie asked the County Administrative Board for permission to have unicorns at home on her farm. And the matter was urgent, because she wanted unicorns for Christmas.
Now she has had her wish fulfilled.
– An action-oriented young lady, says Governor Helena Jonsson.
“I wish for a unicorn but mom and dad say we have to ask your permission”.
So writes 8-year-old Elsie in a handwritten letter received by the County Administrative Board in Jönköping.
In the letter, Elsie continues:
“Can I please get permission to have unicorns at home if we find some or if I get some for Christmas. Please reply quickly!”.
Granted
Elsie’s wish has now been granted, and the permit for unicorns has been approved. In a letter from the County Administrative Board, with both the stamp and signature of Governor Helena Jonsson, the permit is granted.
“We grant permission to have unicorns on the condition that you take good care of them,” reads the letter, which continues:
“If you find some or get some as a Christmas present, we’d love to have a card on them”.
“Own initiative”
Helena Jonsson says that it was obvious to give permission to Elsie.
– I thought this was a proactive young lady who took her own initiative. When the parents said that permission was required, she thought “then I’ll get it”, says Helena Jonsson in Efter fem.
Now the governor is anxiously waiting for a possible unicorn picture.
– It will be exciting to see if I get a card, she says.
While waiting for the card, Helena Jonsson can enjoy a video greeting from Elsie.
“Thank you, Helena, for answering so quickly, I was super happy,” she says in a video that After Five took part in.
