7 vs. Wild: Team was probably only 400 meters from a hotel, fans complain: “Embarrassing marketing construct”

Some resourceful users on Reddit have revealed a secret that the 7 vs. Wild season 3 production probably wanted to keep secret. One participant spot is said to have been just 400 meters away from a hotel resort.

What secret is it about? A thread is currently going viral in the largest 7 vs. Wild subreddit. Pictures and evidence are collected there to show that the wildcard winners, Ann-Kathrin “Affe auf Bike” Bendixen and Hannah Assil, were only 400 meters away from a pier at a resort hotel.

Reddit users back up their theory with screenshots from the show and other information.

What kind of evidence is this? The hotel resort itself has published a map on its website showing the participants’ exposure locations. There the resort is between the teams Monkey on Bike and Hannah as well as Knossi and Sascha.

However, the island cannot be seen on a map of the release locations, as shown in episode 1 on YouTube. Some viewers therefore suspect that the island may have been retouched to hide its proximity to civilization.

Efficient-State-3355 writes: “I also find it exciting that the island with the resort doesn’t even appear in the overview graphic of 7 vs. Wild. The approximately similarly sized Pine Island further to the north is there again. This could possibly also be a simple error in the graphic creation, as Malei Island is also missing from the standard display on Google Maps and can only be seen in satellite view.”

One of the participants in season 3 is the Twitch streamer Jens “Knossi” Knossalla. You can see more about him in our video.

Evidence is piling up in the thread and criticism is being raised.

What other evidence did the fans find? Some viewers also noticed that in shots of the monkey on a bike, a boat dock can be seen in the background.

In other “evidence photos,” Reddit users compared images from the making of and the main series with images from the department and images from Google. They claim to have determined that the team’s abandonment location must have been within sight of the hotel resort.

According to our own research, the pier in question, which is part of the hotel resort, is less than 400 meters as the crow flies from the team’s shown release location.

Is there already a statement from participants or production? So far there is no statement from participants or production. So whether the evidence is true remains to be seen. You can find the whole thread with the evidence here.

Here is the thread where the evidence is collected.

How do users react to the alleged discoveries? The Reddit community is outraged. Fritz Meinecke had just settled accounts with the production company, and now the next accusation comes again.

This is what users say about it:

chilluminate68: “It’s all just an embarrassing marketing construct.”

Godzilla-9651: “This is just a game and not a real survival situation.”

Hanoverview: “I have to say it, it’s becoming more and more like Harz4-TV”

IntrovertedPerson22: “It’s all a joke, let the child finally die.”

But there are also viewers who have a different opinion:

cHpiranha: “I don’t think that changes much for the participants. You see it, but since it’s not relevant to you, you simply ignore it. […] It’s just like an electricity pylon in the forest.”

Yallneedjesuschrist: “Sometimes I wonder why people watch the series if they say such words about it? And it was clear from the start that it wasn’t a documentary, but simply entertainment, wasn’t it?”

Juritoke: “It’s not your fault that you’re so close to the jetty. I would find it absurd to see their performance diminished as a result.”

Some users want season 1 back, in which the participants were abandoned at a lake in Sweden without much effort. Papaplatte recently criticized the production. According to him, the participants were not informed of a possible danger.
