7 vs. Wild probably starts with problems, fans complain about the video quality: “Pixel power at the highest level”

The third season of 7 vs. Wild has started, but some fans are dissatisfied with the video quality of the first episode.

What is 7 vs Wild?

  • This is a survival show by YouTuber Fritz Meinecke in which the participants are supposed to survive in the wilderness for several days.
  • The candidates are responsible for finding food and building shelter themselves and can only use previously packed items.
  • After season one was filmed in Sweden and season two on a tropical island, season three will take contestants to Canada.
  • Season 3 of 7 vs. Wild premiered on October 31st at 12:00 a.m

    • Another big difference from the previous seasons is the broadcast platform of the series. While in previous years the premiere of a new episode has always been on YouTube, this time the first broadcast will take place on Amazon’s streaming service “Freevee”.

    On Freevee you can still watch the episodes for free, but each episode has fixed commercial breaks. The first episode will be broadcast on YouTube almost a month later, on November 29th.

    Praise for the episode despite criticism of the video quality

    What do the fans say? Some fans of the survival series reported on social networks that there were technical problems shortly after the broadcast started. Accordingly, the image quality was very poor.

  • “Pixel power at its best. The quality is almost impossible to match. Hope episode two plays out better (via Twitter).”
  • “Exactly how I wanted it! I’m super happy, apart from the video quality – but it will definitely be good tomorrow (via Reddit).”
  • “Absolutely crappy quality. You can hardly see anything. 320p or what? Embarrassing number (via Twitter).”
  • “Except for the video quality, very cool episode (via Reddit).”
  • “Very nice cut. […] But the Amazon Freeve resolution was shockingly low (via Reddit).”

    • However, it currently looks like the video quality issues have been resolved. At least we didn’t see any drops in resolution when we skipped through the episode as a test.

    Who will be at 7 vs. Wild this time? Unlike previous seasons, this time there will be seven teams of two people each who will be released into the wilderness for 14 days.

    There are also numerous participants in season three who you might know from the German Twitch or YouTube scene. These include well-known streamers such as Trymacs, Rumathra, Papaplatte and Rezze.

    There are also some participants from previous seasons for the first time. For example, you can look forward to Knossi and Survival-Mattin again.

    However, the streamer MontanaBlack is not there, although he received an early invitation from Fritz Meinecke. He was supposed to form a team with his friend ELoTRiX, but he refused to take part:
