For children, traveling by plane is generally an extraordinary adventure. For it to take place in the best possible conditions, several little tips can be very useful!

Very often, children are impressed in front of the planes and are impatient to “fly in the clouds”! However, the sensations of air travel are not always very pleasant, turbulence, take-off and landing can scare some people. They can be all the more surprising if it is a great first. This is why, to anticipate possible anxieties or small frights during the journey, it is important to reassure your children beforehand, and to occupy them. Our advice for the best travel with children.

1 – Choose a seat on the window side

It is very inconvenient for a child to feel the different sensations provided by air travel without being able to refer to tangible images. Take-off and landing being the most critical moments. Place your child on the window side will allow him on the one hand to admire the sublime landscape which is offered to him, and on the other hand not to be worried by sensory perceptions which he would not be able to identify without the sight on the outside.

2 – Take lots of photos with your child

After having tamed these surprising sensations, your children will be very excited to discover the spectacle of the earth from the sky ! Take advantage of this windfall to occupy them for a while and thus channel their attention. The solution is found: improvise a photo workshop in full flight and capture the most beautiful shot.

3 – Pacifiers and sweets to be provided for take-off and landing

Take-off and landing can possibly bother your children: the ears are indeed sensitive during these two phases and the sensation is more than unpleasant. Snack on candy or a lollipop will allow them to swallow and thus avoid feeling the effect of clogged ears. Once is not custom, the children will be delighted to feast on treats with your blessing! To regulate the pressure in his ears, you can also use a pacifier

Coloring and markers will also allow him to pass the time, and why not draw the clouds?

The air being dry and pressurized in the cabin, it is essential to hydrate your child regularly. If you have a small child, provide enough powdered milk and water. You can also instill a few drops of saline in your child’s eyes if they are dry.

6- Reassure your child during the flight

If you are not reassured by plane, know that your child will also be worried. Stress being communicative, you have to remember to be calm before and during the flight. Your child will then be calmer and less angry. feel free to talk to him and reassure him during take-off and landingor hugging it along the aisle during the flight.

7 – Do not worry if your baby cries

Some parents sometimes worry about “disturbing” other passengers when their baby is crying. But tell yourself that they will be able to show understanding.
