Destiny 2 is known for its variety of weapons and equipment, providing players with an intense and exciting gaming experience. But among the many exo-weapons there are also some whose unusual abilities and fun uses really stand out. Here are seven of them that you should definitely try.
Bungie, the developer of Destiny 2, has often stood out for its creative shooting irons and designs for a variety of exo-weapons. There are now some weapons that can entertain the player with bizarre, funny effects or synergies.
These weapons are of course also unique. But if you’re looking for a fun change or just want to annoy your opponents with unusual effects, then this list of the 7 funniest exo weapons in Destiny 2 is just right for you. And you don’t even need a crazy weapon glitch.
Decayed Effigy – Trace Rifle
What can the weapon do? The Exotic, which is a trace rifle in Destiny 2, has a unique trick up its sleeve.
So if you’re looking for the ultimate slam dunk experience in Destiny 2, you should get Decayed Image including its catalyst and use its effects.
Fun fact about this weapon: Anyone who uses “Decayed Image” uses their light to do so. Or as Weaponmaster Banshee-44 puts it in the lore: “She doesn’t use the light, she devours it. The thing has a huge appetite. Works pretty much like a converter.”
The weapon itself was created from the Silverwing Tree on the planet IO. As we learn from the lore, it was one of the branches of the tree that was used to make it. In addition, not every light carrier seems to be able to wield the Exo, such as Commander Zavala.
The weapon could therefore have already indicated in Season 11 of Destiny 2 that the Guardians of Darkness are getting closer and closer and some of them basically have nothing against it. The darkness corrupts them, but they become accustomed to the other side so that in due time they can accept more gifts it offers the Guardians. This extra was the ability “Stasis” in the DLC “Beyond Light”.
Perfected Burst – Pulse Rifle
What can the weapon do? With this exotic pulse rifle you have the unique SIVA nanites on your side in Destiny 2. These are created by quick successive hits and precision kills and then follow your enemies like bad-tempered bees. You also deal more damage to enemies that have the SIVA nanites attached to them.
It may take some practice. But once you get familiar with this weapon, you’ll find that it can bring the perfected level of fun to your Destiny 2 experience.
Fun fact about this weapon: The weapon is quite popular with players, so much so that you can now find great fanfiction stories about this weapon that even Bungie couldn’t have written better. A particularly plausible scenario surrounding this exo-weapon was created on Reddit.
It says: The city council of the Last City has repeatedly requested that the exo-weapon “Perfected Breakout” be banned and destroyed. As long as everything is functioning normally, excess SIVA, as well as any particles that float around outside the weapon for too long, will automatically self-destruct and cease all operation to compensate for the engine’s continuous production of nanites.
However, there have been reports of Guardians traveling with the weapon for extended periods of time, particularly Exos. They experienced a tingling sensation on the back of their necks, unusually vivid daydreams, bright lights of different colors floating around their heads, and a metallic taste in their mouths. Symptoms of a nanite infection that can spread through the nervous system.
Added to this was the danger to all life. Because if the engine were ever forcibly removed from the Exo’s frame, the SIVA nanites remaining in the weapon would enter an infinite replication loop and indiscriminately attack all organic life.
Thus, the intervention of the Cryptarchy alone prevented the ban and destruction of the weapon, as the complete mastery of the production and use of SIVA was theorized as “the most unprecedented leap in human progress since the petroleum age.”
Workhorse – automatic rifle
What can the weapon do? The “workhorse” is a Gatling gun disguised as an automatic rifle, i.e. an automatic weapon with a rotating barrel. It is carried in the kinetic slot and with it in your hand you no longer have to worry about anything and can shoot for what feels like forever.
If you fire it from the hip, the good thing is particularly precise and its stability can be increased even further. However, to get the most out of this weapon, you have to hold the trigger for a long time. Only then will you reach the maximum fire rate of 900 rpm and achieve a kill time of 0.53 seconds.
Fun fact about this weapon: Having this weapon in Destiny 2 is like saying, “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.” So it’s actually the perfect tool to spend what feels like an eternity cleaning up the battlefield with a huge grin on your face.
With the armor exotic for Titans, the “Actium War Gear”, you transform the “workhorse” into a continuous fire adventure monster. Hardly anything is as satisfying as the constant rattling of that minigun as you plow through hordes of enemies. Also works in PvP.
But even if you’re not a Titan, it’s enough to collect special or heavy ammunition to reload this weapon immediately.
Tractor Gun – Shotgun
What can the weapon do? The Exo weapon is a shotgun in the heavy slot and is like an uninvited guest at a party. It comes unexpectedly, but can really shake things up.
It can be used to fend off opponents and suppress abilities at the same time. In PvP, this means that you can not only keep your opponents at a distance, but you can also stop them trying to launch an ability counter.
But that’s not all – this weapon is also great in PvE against mini-bosses and bosses. Once again, it is the debuff that suppresses boss abilities and makes enemies more vulnerable to damage.
Fun fact about this weapon: The name is program. If you get shot, it’s like a tractor runs over you. If you use the weapon, there is nothing funnier than when a proud Warlock, Titan or Hunter, who has just activated his ability or super against you in PvP, suddenly flies helplessly through the air.
