7 (!) Series postponed and that has 2 specific reasons

The Marvel series Secret Invasion and Loki Season 2 will be the only live-action series from the MCU to be seen in 2023. Actually, a lot more was planned. The Hawkeye spin-off Echo even had a specific launch date. But now Marvel Studios has discarded its previous plans and the Release plan of upcoming series completely changed. There are two reasons for this.

From WandaVision spin-off to Daredevil: Marvel is moving 7 series on Disney+

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, several Marvel series have had their release dates pushed back for two reasons. On the one hand, some projects are affected by the ongoing double strike in Hollywood. Filming, reshoots and dubbing cannot be completed. In addition, involved stars will not be able to promote their Marvel series during the strike.

Furthermore, Marvel Studios is said to have reconsidered its previous release strategy amidst the superhero fatigue of the audience. Future projects should start at a greater distance from each other in order to each series to an event close.

Agatha Harkness won’t be allowed to witch again until 2024

As a result, a total of 7 Marvel series have now been postponed. Only the second season of Loki keeps the known start date in October.

The new release plan for 2023 and 2024 is as follows:

In addition, three new MCU series postponed indefinitely and currently have no specific publication period:

The Ironheart series takes a closer look at the character Riri Williams, known from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Although the series is already filmed, it cannot be completed at this time due to the Hollywood strike. The productions of the new Daredevil series with Charlie Cox and the superhero comedy Wonder Man with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II were interrupted prematurely in the course of the strikes.

When these three series could be seen on Disney + is not yet foreseeable. That depends, among other things, on how long the strike will last.
