What is The First Omen about? The First Omen is the prequel to the 1976 film The Omen. Margaret Daino travels to Rome to finally become a full-fledged nun who dedicates her life to the church. But, as you might expect, strange things are going on at the orphanage where she works.

At its core, The First Omen is a classic nun horror film, the likes of which have been seen many times before. But the film does it really well. You hardly rely on clichéd techniques like jump scares. The film remains true to its origins, is shot beautifully and atmospherically and has a good leading actress in Nell Tiger Free.

    2. Alien: Romulus

    Direction: Fede Alvarez

What is Alien: Romulus about? Rain lives with her brother Andy on a mining colony where they only live to work. But they want to get out of there, which is why they want to steal a cryogenic capsule from an abandoned space station. But it is not abandoned for no reason; there is a great danger hidden on the space station.

Alien: Romulus is a love letter to the entire franchise, but also includes a lot of horror. The set pieces are exciting and creative and the big highlight of the film is Andy, played by David Johnson. He shows several moods in the film that not only contribute to the horror, but also arouse sympathy.
