This happens with the tax refund if you have not registered an account
What then happens to those who have not registered a receiving bank account? According to Åsa Ekströmcoordinator at the Swedish Tax Agency, the tax refund remains in the tax account.
– If you notify the receiving bank account within three weeks of us having sent your final tax statement, we will automatically pay you the money. Amounts below SEK 100 are not paid out, but remain in the tax account, she explains and continues:
– If you report a bank account later than within three weeks, you yourself need to request that the money be paid out. You can do this most easily in our e-service Skatekonto.
