Tip 1: Take your time
You’ve probably seen the action-packed Armored Core 6 trailers and noticed how fast and bombastic the combat looks. And even if you want to rush into the action right away, you should take your time.
The game is merciless and doesn’t forgive you for mistakes. If you go into a fight carelessly and without tactics, you will quickly bite the dust. The game doesn’t give you a timer, so you can take as much time as you want and explore the world as well. You should too, because you can find hidden items.
Tip 2: Watch your energy
As in other FromSoftware Souls games, energy is your mech’s stamina. If you have used them up completely in fights, you can quickly be staggered by opponents. In this state, you take massive damage. So avoid rushing around unnecessarily and keep an eye on your bar. If you can manage your energy well, you can last longer in combat and remain deadly.
Tip 3: Use your scanner
If you roam the vast areas of Armored Core 6, you will notice that many enemies are hiding and waiting for you to fall into their trap. However, if you use the scanner, surrounding enemies will be marked in your radius. You can even see them through walls. This is very handy as it allows you to surprise opponents who actually wanted to surprise you.
Tip 4: Pay attention to which boost you use
In Armored Core 6 there are different modes how you can speed up your mech. You can speed up your AC permanently and easily and consume little energy. You can use quick boosts to dodge projectiles or turn your mech into a superman and fly around the map.
The first two modes are very useful, but Superman mode is very dangerous, especially when you’re going into battle. Only use this when you’re exploring, otherwise you’ll lose too much energy and may be staggered when you land.

Tip 5: Attack unsuspecting enemies
On your missions you will meet many enemies head-on who will stand in your way. But some of them can also be done without much fuss. Depending on how you proceed, opponents have an unsuspecting state. In this state, they take massive damage from you.
Even if your mech is a construct that cannot be overlooked, you can still act quietly in many situations and thus ambush your opponents and defeat them faster.
Tip 6: Use rockets on small enemies
Not as relevant in Act 1, but even more important in later missions. Pay attention to which weapons you use against which opponents. Missiles are a strong option when you want to take down a lot of smaller ‘Mechs at once. You can target multiple enemies and then unleash a barrage of missiles. So you save ammunition with the weapons that you should use against bosses or tougher opponents.
