During the summer, many Swedes pack up the car and head out on the roads to travel to rural locations, campsites and excursion destinations in other locations.
Some even take the car to travel beyond Sweden’s borders, to more southern latitudes.

The things you should have in the car this summer
But just like in winter, when snow and other inclement weather can cause traffic problems and you should be equipped to stay out in the cold, there are certain items you’d rather not leave home without.
For News24 tells Wanted Semiwho is an engine specialist at Länsförsäkringar, that there are six things in particular that can be of great help to have ready in the car, before heading out into the summer traffic:
It is also a good idea to enter the phone number of the towing company that your insurance company cooperates with, and of the insurance company where your car is insured, in the mobile phone.

But this is not the only thing to think about before starting the car and setting off.
– What I also think is important if you are going on holiday with the car is to check the following before departure. Is there a warning triangle? Are reflective vests available? Is there a first aid kit?, says Ville Semi.
In addition to this, you should check the tire pressure, tread depth and oil level, top up the washer fluid and make sure you have a spare tire and puncture kit.
