6.9 magnitude earthquake in China – World News

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 occurred at night in the Minyuen Hui autonomous region of China’s Chinahai province in northwest China.

According to the news of the Shinhua agency, the China Earthquake Networks Center reported that the earthquake in Mınyuen Hui autonomous region occurred 10 kilometers below the ground.

Local Disaster Management Administration Vice President Guo Yong said in a statement that no damage or loss of life was found in the investigations carried out in 5 villages 5 kilometers from the epicenter.

Some railway lines in the region were closed as a precaution due to the earthquake that was felt in Mınyüen, as well as in the provincial capital Shining, 136 kilometers away.
