A 6.6 magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and about 50 kilometers north of Taiwan’s coastal city of Taitung, by the US Geological Survey (USGS). It was stated that the earthquake was also felt in the capital Taipei, and there was no loss of life or property. There was no tsunami warning after the earthquake.
More than 100 people died in the earthquake that occurred in the south of Taiwan in 2016, and more than 2,000 people died in the 7.3 magnitude earthquake in 1999. (UAV)
