A panel of experts has chosen the best television in the world. But neither Samsung nor LG, two of the most popular brands on the market, are in first place. Instead, a Chinese product is in first place. But what makes the television so good that the experts rate it so highly?
What kind of experts are these? The EISA or European Imaging and Sound Association is an association founded in 1989. It brings together more than 50 European media that specialize in audiovisual media. Every year, the EISA creates a ranking of various products in categories related to sound, TV and Hi-Fi.
This year, the experts have voted again. And this year, no brand like Samsung, LG or Sony is in first place.

What is the best TV in the world? The supposedly best television in the world is said to come from the Chinese manufacturer TCL. TCL is one of the largest manufacturers in the world with more than 75,000 employees and a turnover of almost 14 billion US dollars. Just a few months ago, the company introduced a new television that could become strong competition for Samsung and LG.
Specifically, this is the 115X955 Max model. This is a 115-inch TV, a huge TV. The model has 20,000 zones for the backlight (local dimming zone) and uses mini-LED technology.
With a 4K resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and Quantum Dot technology, the TV is said to offer lifelike colors and impressive detail. The HDR brightness of up to 5,000 nits and support for numerous HDR formats such as Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ and HLG is also a plus point.
Are there any disadvantages? Yes, because the device is not perfect. The testers from DigitalesFernsehen, for example, explain that the television sometimes has problems with local dimming: faces in dark scenes are sometimes heavily overexposed, but a software update is to follow. The viewing angle stability is also a negative aspect: if you look at the television at an angle, the picture quickly becomes significantly worse.
How much does the TV cost? This is where we come to the disadvantage of the TV, because the 115X955 Max is not exactly cheap, although TCL was one of the budget providers for years.
You can currently purchase the television from Euronics and Heimkinoraum. The price is currently 24,999 euros. The provider “Heimkinoraum” also only delivers the device in the greater Munich area, but at least it’s free here.
