The region’s employees have a pension that is value-guaranteed and calculated with inflation. This means that pensioners should be able to live in roughly the same way regardless of whether prices in shops rise.
– This is good for the employees. The fact that it is hedged against inflation means that the pensions are secured, but right now it is a financial burden for the region, says Per Karlsson, finance director at Region Halland.
