Swedes are also being evacuated
In Greece, hundreds of Swedish passengers are being evacuated in Ródos due to the threat of wildfires.
It tells about it, among other things Dagens Nyheter newspaper.
Tourists are moved to another part of the island for safety. Among other things, customers of Apollo, Ving and TUI travel agencies will be transferred to other hotels.
Expressen magazine tells, that tourists were evacuated, for example, near the village of Lardos. The vacationers received a text message on their cell phones, telling them that the fire was less than a kilometer away. There is a smell of smoke in the air.
Like the rest of Southern Europe, very dry and hot weather has prevailed in Greece. Strong winds have increased the power of the fires.
