5 tips for the perfect start in Ultimate Team

Play Squad Battles for first good rewards

The motto at the beginning of FUT is to build a strong starter team: collect packs. And you should really use every opportunity to do so. This includes Squad Battles, a mode that many players find incredibly boring because you play against the CPU instead of playing against real people.

But the rewards from Squad Battles are always worth it. Especially at the beginning of Ultimate Team. Just grind the Squad Battles until you can’t play any more games, preferably on a difficulty level that is a little higher. This will help you climb the rank faster and get better rewards.

For example, if you reach Gold rank 1, you will receive:

  • 1 83+ x2 Rare Gold Pro Pack
  • 1 Mega Pack
  • 2 75+ x5 Rare Gold Pro Pack
  • 9,000 coins
  • The rewards for Squad Battles are always distributed on Sundays at 10:05 am.

Earn packs and players in the objectives

In Ultimate Team, under the menu item “Objectives” there are tasks for you to complete that you can use to earn packs and even powerful cards. For example, you are required to play certain modes, score special goals, and so on.

Here, call up the objectives regularly and, especially at the beginning, work on the tasks that give you packs. With a bit of luck, you’ll draw strong cards in these packs.

Trade in your surplus players in Squad Building Challenges

If you simply can’t get any good players from the packs you earn, then the best thing to do is to put them into so-called SBCs (Squad Building Challenges). These are tasks where you can exchange your cards for rewards.

Especially SBCs that offer you strong special cards are useful here to build your team in a targeted manner and not have to rely on pack luck.

Bring your team to full team chemistry

Basically, you can equip your team with the cards you most want to play. However, if you want to get the most out of your team, you should make sure that the players have full or at least high team chemistry.

Each player can collect up to three chemistry points. The chemistry of a card is influenced by the following factors:

  • nationality
  • league
  • Association
  • A high level of team chemistry is worth it: if your teammates harmonize with each other, they get an extra boost to their stats.

Use EVOs early to make weak cards strong

What are EVOs in EA FC 25? A new feature that has been added in EA FC 24 is the so-called “Evolutions” or “EVOs” for short. This mechanic is now available again in EA FC 25.

It allows you to improve and develop your cards so that they become stronger, receive better ratings and new play styles and player roles.

For this to work, you have to complete various tasks with your desired card. Once you’ve done that, you’ll receive a new, upgraded Evo card. But be careful. Exchangeable cards become unexchangeable when you put them into evolutions. Tisi Schubech’s Twitch streamers have just learned this the hard way.
