5 things you need to know before launching the Scribes of Fate (Update 37) DLC

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online will receive update 37 with the DLC Scribes of Fate on March 13, 2023. This begins the Shadows over Morrowind story arc. All information about the new update is available here on MeinMMO.

When will Scribes of Fate (Update 37) be released? You can play the new DLC on PC/Mac and Stadia starting March 13th, and on Xbox and PlayStation starting March 28th.

What time can you start playing Scribes of Fate (Update 37)? The time is not yet known, but you can check the server status here at any time (via ESO Server Status).

Do you need ESO+ for the Scribes of Fate DLC? Yes. To be able to run the new DLC dungeons, you need ESO+. Alternatively, it is also possible to buy the DLC for crowns in the shop. However, we recommend the ESO+ variant, as this has even more advantages for you. However, the new features of the base game, i.e. Update 37, are free for all players.

Two new dungeons in Scribes of Fate

What are the biggest new features of Scribes of Fate? With the new update, two new dungeons appear, which already give an insight into the plot of the upcoming chapter Necrom and start the story “Shadows over Morrowind”.

The new dungeon “Bal Sunnar”

You can find this dungeon to the east of Stonefalls.

What sets are there?

  • Binding of the Ritemaster (Light)
  • Nixhound Howl (Medium)
  • Tevlanni Enforcer (Hard)
  • Roksa the Twisted (Monster Set)
  • The new dungeon “Hall of the Scribes”

You can find this dungeon in the south of the Rift.

    What sets are there?

  • Runecarver’s Blaze (Light)
  • Apocryphal Inspiration (medium)
  • Abyssal Armor (Hard)
  • Ozezan the Inferno (Monster Set)
  • Read-aloud function for further accessibility

With the next update you will be able to have a large part of the menu read to you. You can also choose whether you want a male or female voice. And you can change the tempo as well as the volume.

ESO takes another step towards accessibility. But even so, it’s nice to have some things read to you instead of mumbling through the menu yourself.

    Hide Pauldrons

So far you only knew the function “free view”, with which you can hide your headgear. You can find them in your collection under Appearance → Headgear. However, to hide your shoulder as well, you must be standing at an outfit table.

Otherwise the function is exactly like the hiding of the headgear you know.

At the outfit table you can use the new function.

    Improvement for housing

There are several small adjustments for the housing, so that you have it a bit more comfortable:

  • More filters for the search – You can now see whether the furnishing items are in your bank, in your inventory, in a storage chest or in your collection. You can also filter the items by whether they are bound or unbound.
  • Resetting the Practice Manikins – You will soon be able to reset your practice manikins while in combat.
  • A better overview of who is visiting your home. There will soon be real-time notifications that will inform you whether a player has entered or left your house. You can also eject players if they misbehave.
  • More detailed bView when buying a home – You can now see exactly which furnishings are included with the purchase of a furnished home.
  • The New Necrom Prologue Quest

The new chapter prologue quest will be available for free in the Crown Store for all players. You can conveniently find this quest called Eye of Destiny in the Showcase or under the Quests tab in the Crown Store.
