5 things you cant do at the end of pregnancy

With a prominent belly during the last months of pregnancy, it will be almost impossible for you to tie your shoelaces, put nail polish on your feet… unless you lengthen your arms. Our advice and plan B to anticipate or simply forget…

The last months of pregnancy are often the most complicated for the mother-to-be, including in her daily life. With a bulky belly, which simply prevents you from seeing the tips of your toes, you will have to make concessions or find other solutions. Here are our tips for coping with the idea of giving up, as well as our tips and plan B to anticipate what you can no longer do pregnantwithin a few weeks or a few months.

1- Put on shoes, tie your laces

In the third trimester of pregnancy, it will be almost impossible for you to bend down to tie your laces, or put on your shoes which are sometimes difficult to put on. Our advice: depending on the season, opt for models that are easy to put on. In winter, for example, choose rather wide and comfortable boots that slip on like slippers… In summer, it will be easier with flip-flops or Birkenstock-type sandals.

2 – Put varnish on the toenails

Same thing for shoes: bending to reach your feet will quickly require superhuman effort. Anticipate by removing the varnish that you have already applied to let your nails breathe and look natural. We can do without varnish from time to time, right? However, if it is really important to you, go to an institute, or ask your spouse to help you put it on… without going overboard!

3 – Sleep on your stomach, find a comfortable position

Difficult to fall asleep pregnant, especially at the end of pregnancy since it is already impossible for you to sleep on your stomach. It will even be difficult for you to find a simple comfortable position. You will have to turn in all directions and as soon as baby gives you a few little nudges, you will wake up at the slightest movement, hoping to close your eyes. Our advice: have you ever tried the pregnancy cushion (to put between your legs to better support you). In addition, it will be used to breastfeed or bottle feed the baby after birth.

4 – Wax your bikini line yourself

Do not venture into waxing or electric epilator without having visibility on the part of the body located under your belly, especially if you want to wax your bikini line. As with nail polish, you’ll want to do without having smooth legs or a perfect Brazilian bikini… If that bothers you, then make an appointment at a salon, asking not to go too many times on the area, because remember that you will be more sensitive than usual.

5 – Bend down, pick up your things

Beware if you try to bend down to pick up your things from the ground or those of your children… You will probably have difficulty doing this, and if you manage to do so, it may be difficult for you to get up. At the end of pregnancy, take some height, keep your head up and don’t put yourself down! More seriously, the future dad will have to take care of certain daily tasks: the glasses and plates placed at the bottom of the dishwasher will no longer be really accessible to you, and forget about household chores, in general, because fatigue is often intense during the last months of pregnancy.

► At the end of pregnancy, take it easy, rest and take care of yourself to be in good shape on the day of delivery. More than ever, it’s up to you to listen to your body, to go at your own pace and above all, not to feel obliged to do certain things to please those around you if you don’t really want to. For others to adapt to you, to relay you and support you on a daily basis.
