5 things you can always sell without hesitation

Gold is one of the most important resources in Diablo 4 and especially in the endgame you have to shell out a lot of it for item upgrades. We’ll tell you what things you can easily sell later in the game to increase your gold supply.

If you want to upgrade or enchant your equipment in the endgame, a few million of your valuable gold will quickly go over the counter. Likewise for repairs. But fortunately there is enough stuff in Diablo 4 that you can easily sell.

In addition, a regular visit to the dealers is also worthwhile for another reason: there is really good equipment for gold.

What things can I sell? In the following list we give you the items that you can always sell without hesitation in Diablo 4:

By the way, before the endgame you should rather use items, since you need the materials at the beginning rather than the gold. In the video you will learn which items you should use better at the beginning and which you should sell:

You can sell these 5 things without hesitation

Equipment you cannot use

Probably everyone who plays Diablo 4 knows the phenomenon. You kill a few monsters, open your inventory in anticipation of good loot and notice crossed out items. You got items for another class.

You can keep these if you also play the class – or want to play. You’ll probably find something equivalent while playing with the class anyway.

You can therefore simply sell them, because: Above all, higher-level items bring you a good amount of gold. A level 94 two-handed sword got me over 27,000 gold.

Items that are not appropriate for your class are marked with a red cross

Gear that doesn’t match your build

It may be that you get items that have a high level and very good stats, but are of no use to you. For example, because they just don’t fit your build or you need other stats. An item that gives you +2 levels to a certain skill isn’t a bad thing, but it won’t help you if you don’t play that skill at all.

You should only keep it if the other abilities fit your build well and you can change the one affix you don’t need by enchanting it. You can find the best builds in our Tier List:

All magic items

You can sell magic items, i.e. “blue” items, without hesitation – as long as you keep them at all. The same applies to the white items. In the later game it is usually more the case that you find so many “yellow” items and legendaries anyway and at the latest you kick the magical things out of the inventory instead.

The “yellow” items, on the other hand, are worth a second look, because real trophies can be hidden behind them, which give you decent boosts.

Anything of great value

It may well be that you get so many materials in the course that you don’t need any new ones or even can’t pick them up at all. So if you have equipment in your chest or inventory that is no longer needed but has been upgraded, it’s worth selling it.

A legendary amulet at level 86 can bring you around 66,000 gold. It doesn’t come close to the cost you paid for the amulet when you upgraded it, but it’s better than nothing.

Uniques have an enormously high value. You should think carefully about whether you want to sell them or keep them, as you rarely get some of them. Selling a level 79 amulet with the Legacy tag will get you 248,000 gold. For a “legacy” Unique bow at level 88 even a whopping 446,600 gold.

Unique items are sometimes strong, but often just don’t fit your build. You will probably never be able to use most of them. So don’t be afraid to just sell them.

Anything clogging up your inventory and crates

If lack of space is your primary problem – along with lack of gold – selling whatever you don’t need right now is the best solution. Especially if you have enough materials and are happy with your equipment.

Gems in particular clog up your inventory. So it happens that you have a lot of gems in your inventory after a dungeon run, as well as “blue” items that you can’t use. You can exchange some of these for a small amount of gold.

With the spacebar, the X (Xbox controller) or the square (PlayStation controller) you can mark the items in the inventory as junk and sell the stuff to the dealer in one go. Even little things like gems.
