We’ve prepared a guide for you with five essential tips for your adventure in Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

1 – Search all locations

In an open-world as vast as that of Dying Light 2, there are many places, hiding places and dungeons (dark areas) that are easy to cross without really dwelling on them. However, resources and money are two essential elements for your progress in the game. Indeed, in Dying Light 2, experience is not everything, it allows you to unlock skill points for combat trees and of parkour, but you should also know that equipment upgrades are crucial to develop your character. Upgrading your heals, mods, and gadgets will allow you to be more effective in combat. And the resources you collect in the world of Villedor are divided into two categories, valuables, and resources. These are the essential currency for your upgrades. You must therefore make sure to search absolutely everything so as not to be blocked in your improvements, moreover your wealth will grow more quickly.

2 – Don’t miss the zombies

Zombies are, although they do not look like it, an invaluable source of wealth in Dying Light 2. Indeed, each zombie has a chance to give you, once searched, a trophy. Trophies vary in nature by their rarity. So, a classic infected might give you an unusual trophy, a special infected like a virulent might give you a rare trophy, and a particularly tough anomaly or infected might give you a unique trophy. However, trophies are an essential currency for improving your items, your healing and your weapon mods. So be sure to search all the zombies. If you want to effectively “farm” the trophies, start pursuits while staying near a UV lamp, so you can kill a large number of virulent ones, and avoid the volatile ones which could end your life rather quickly, before collect as many trophies as possible.

3 – Upgrade your weapons effectively

In Dying Light 2 you will notice that your weapons cannot be conventionally repaired. Only there is a way to refurbish any weapon, as long as it has upgrade slots. Indeed, improving a weapon allows you to gain 50 points of durability per mod added. If you find a weapon that is particularly to your liking, be sure to use it before upgrading it. This will allow you to maximize its durability. There are also mods for your weapon’s hilt that can improve its durability.

4 – Improve stamina before life

A choice that remains according to your tastes. With the system of inhibitors, you will regularly have the choice between improving your life, or your endurance. Be aware that stamina allows you to extend your parkour stunts, as well as increasing your combat prowess. With a substantial amount of stamina, you will be able to access many places in your environment and make it easier to move around. You will also be able to improve your effectiveness in combat, the endurance allowing you to chain blows, dodges and parries. However, be sure to look at the skills that interest you the most in each tree, the higher level skills will be unlockable once a certain amount of life or stamina is reached.

5 – Explore the world in depth

In any open-world game, it’s easy to just focus on the main quest. However, in Dying Light 2, it is essential to explore the world in depth in order to discover all its secrets. And by secrets, of course, these are inhibitors. These inhibitors are essential to your progress in the game. It takes a balanced cocktail of experience and inhibitors for your character to progress easily, allowing them to reach the amounts of life and stamina necessary to advance their skill trees. You will find many Inhibitors in dark areas and near GRE buildings
