New, extremely powerful special cards appear weekly in Ultimate Team. The problem: the best cards cost an outrageous amount of coins and are almost impossible to pay for. But there are much cheaper and still exciting cards with excellent values.
And that’s exactly what we want to show you here. Here you can see 5 candidates that currently (as of December 24, 2022) cost less than 50,000 coins, are strong in terms of play and therefore offer good value for money.
We didn’t look for specific positions or leagues, but primarily looked at values and costs.
Soufiane Boufal (88) – Path to Glory
Price: approx. 27,000 coins
This is what sets Soufiane Boufal apart: With Boufal you get an incredibly cheap forward that should be so cheap because of his nation and league. But don’t let the price fool you, because Boufal has the stats of absolute top strikers in FIFA 23.
One of his greatest strengths is the 5 stars for the weak foot, which, coupled with the very good shot values, represent a danger for every goalkeeper. In addition, he is very fast, has 4-star skill moves and, on top of that, fantastic dribbling values.
Only his physique is a bit weak, which is why you should rather dribble past the opposing defenders.
Edin Dzeko (88) – Rulebreakers
Price: approx. 28,000 coins
This is what sets Edin Dzeko apart: Dzeko’s Rulebreakers card was significantly more expensive not that long ago than it is now. And not without reason, because the card offers top values and is just damn good.
When paired with a Hunter chemistry card, not only is Dzeko lightning fast, he also has insanely powerful shot stats that are almost exclusively in the high 90s. On top of that, he is also completely ambidextrous, which makes him a real goal machine.
Ivan Perisic (87) – Team of the Tournament
Price: approx. 35,000 coins
This is what sets Ivan Perisic apart: Ivan Perišic’s TOTT card is a variable card that can help you out in attacking midfield as well as on the wings. The card has strong stats all around and isn’t really bad anywhere.
If you then use an engine chemistry style, Perisic becomes really fast, his passing values move into the 90s and his dribbling is improved again. So you have a winger that should score a lot of goals and has no problems scoring some yourself, thanks to the strong shot values and the 5 stars for the weak foot.
Zambo Anguissa (87) – Road to the Knockouts
Price: approx. 35,000 coins
This is what sets Zambo Anguissa apart: A somewhat less well-known name in world football is probably Zambo Anguissa, but the professional from Cameroon already has an extremely strong card in FIFA 23, which should ensure absolute defensive security in the ZDM position
It is probably so cheap because nation, league and club are a little more difficult to link. But if you already have a few “Serie A” players at the club then Zambo Anguissa is the perfect choice for defensive midfield.
Thomas Lemar (86) – Road to the Knockouts
Price: approx. 45,000 coins
This is what sets Lemar apart: Lemar is a classic central midfielder that you should use more offensively as his defensive stats aren’t quite as mature. But as a ball distributor in midfield, who can also intervene in attack if necessary, he cuts an outstanding figure.
Above all, his speed, passing and dribbling values make him a real weapon in midfield. Additionally, the high/high work rates are perfect, allowing Lemar to really be anywhere on the court.
