5 highlights not to be missed in September

In September, Pokémon GO will again have a lot of events and content on the program. We at MeinMMO show you 5 highlights that you should not miss in the coming weeks and explain why they are worthwhile.

What content is it about? September has just started and that means a series of new events, raid bosses, spawns and bonuses in Pokémon GO. Added to this is the start of the new season Abundant Adventures, which brings you more interesting content.

But you should better remember one or the other appointment in the coming weeks, because it can be worthwhile for you. We have summarized the highlights of September for you below. The order is chronological.

1. Raids with Katagami and Kaguron

Kaguron (left) and Katagami (right)

Why is it worth it? In September you can meet the two Ultra Beasts Katagami and Kaguron again in Pokémon GO. These could already be caught in the game last year and caused long queues for the raids.

Both monsters can only be caught regionally. So Katagami initially spawns with us in the northern hemisphere and Kaguron in the southern hemisphere. In contrast to the last time, this time the two beasts swap regions in between. So this is the perfect opportunity to grab a copy if you didn’t already last time.

In addition, Katagami can score with a high attack value and also has solid endurance and defense. It is excellently suited for use and currently secures the first place of the best plant attackers in Pokémon GO with a move set from razor blade and leaf blade.

When do the raids take place? The two Ultra Beasts can be found in the raids since September 1st and will dominate them until September 16th at 10:00 local time. Make sure Katagami spawns here in the northern hemisphere by September 8th. Then they change and the rest of the time you can find Kaguron here. Alternatively, both can also be earned via long-distance raids. Corresponding raid hours will also take place on September 6th and September 13th.

Here are the best counters against Katagami and Kaguron:

2. Temporary Study: Master Ball

Why is it worth it? At the start of the new Season Plenty of Adventures, a limited-time study has also been unlocked for you to complete throughout September and beyond. As a reward, this not only brings you an incredible amount of XP but also a second Master Ball.

This is one of the most valuable items in the game, because the ball is guaranteed to catch any monster. So it’s especially worth it for Pokémon that are otherwise difficult to catch. However, the item is also correspondingly rare, which is why its use must be well thought out. If you want to secure the ball, you shouldn’t miss the research.

You can find them in the “Today” section of your game. Since it is a bit more demanding than other tasks, you should start solving it as soon as possible.

Here we show you all the tasks and rewards of the limited study.

How long is the study available? You can find the study in your game since September 1st. It is active there until November 21, 2023, 8:00 p.m. Players who don’t complete it in time can also buy the quest afterwards to still get the ball.

3. Showcases

Why is it worth it? The so-called showcase has also been a popular feature for a few weeks. With this you can have selected monsters compete at PokéStops in a kind of competition at certain times. So you can compare your specimens with those of others based on their size, and of course there are corresponding rewards.

There will be a series of these competitions again in September. If you don’t want to miss out on the rewards or are just having fun with the new feature, you should definitely not miss the September dates.

When are the showcases running? In September you can look forward to a total of 11 showcases that will be linked to a wide variety of events. At these times they will be active for the following monsters (via twitter.com):

  • Charmander: September 2, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
  • Charizard: September 2, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
  • Ferkuli: September 5, 10:00 a.m. to September 9, 8:00 p.m
  • Micrick: September 11, 10:00 a.m. to September 13, 8:00 p.m
  • Pamo: September 14, 10:00 a.m. to September 15, 8:00 p.m
  • Myrapla: September 17, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
  • Spoink: September 20, 10:00 a.m. to September 22, 8:00 p.m
  • Mabula: September 23, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
  • Donarion: September 23, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
  • Fukano: September 27, 10:00 a.m. to September 29, 8:00 p.m
  • Hisui-Fukano: September 30, 10:00 a.m. to October 2, 8:00 p.m
  • 4. Paldea Region Hyperbonus Events

Why is it worth it? At the GO Fest 2023 you could earn a hyper bonus again. You did that and unlocked the two events Paldea Adventure and Hyperbonus: Paldea. You can meet monsters from the Paldea region for the first time at both events.

In addition to the starter Pokémon Felori, Krokel and Kwaks, other cute monsters await you at both events, such as Ferkuli, Micrick, Pamo, Adebom or Frospino. Many trainers are looking forward to Frospino in particular, because his evolution Espinodon is likely to score with a strong moveset and high stats, which could make him one of the best attackers.

So if you don’t want to miss out on the new monsters and are hoping for a strong attacker, you shouldn’t miss the two events. Shiny hunters also get their money’s worth with Ferkuli and Adebom.

When can you get the Paldea Pokémon? The Event Paldea Adventure starts on September 5, 2023 at 10:00 and runs until September 10 at 20:00. Finally, with a few hours of overlap, the more interesting Paldea event starts on September 10th at 10:00 local time and runs until September 15th at 20:00.

    5th Community Day in September

Why is it worth it? At Community Day, a certain monster is always the focus, it seems to spawn everywhere in the wilderness during this time and has a higher shiny rate. For this reason, this event is generally very popular with the trainers.

The monster and the bonuses of the Community Day in September have not yet been officially confirmed, but according to the Pokémon GO event overview, there should be showcases with Mabula and its further development Donarion on that day. This strongly suggests that you will meet Mabula at Community Day in September.

And it’s not only worth it because the Pokémon will probably be able to be caught in its dazzling form for the first time. His evolution Donarion can also convince with a strong attack value, which makes him one of the best bug attackers in the game.

When is Community Day? Community Day is scheduled to run on September 23, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
