Depending on which edition of Diablo 4 you pre-ordered, you can move into the world of Sanctuary on either June 2nd or June 6th, 2023. To prepare for the release now, there are five things you can do now. With this MeinMMO article you are well prepared.
When is Diablo 4 launch? All Standard Edition buyers will not be able to start Diablo 4 until June 6, 2023 at 01:00. However, if you pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition or the Ultimate Edition, you will get four days early access. Accordingly, your adventure begins on June 2, 2023 at 01:00 a.m.
So that you can use the additional waiting time of four days sensibly or be perfectly prepared for the start on June 2nd, we’ll give you five tips to get you started. These simplify your start of the game.

1. Which class should I take?
At the launch of Diablo 4, five different classes are available. More classes may be added over time, but at the beginning of June you only have to choose between the following classes:

2. The best build for your class
Within a class, individual characters can vary greatly in their playstyle. The reason for this is that each class has several builds to choose from that you can use to level up your character. So you should choose the build that is most compatible with your playstyle and that you enjoy the most.
What is the skill builder? With the skill builder (d4builds.gg) you can deal with your favorite class before you start the game and see what skills it has available. As the level increases, skill points can be distributed between active and passive abilities.
But remember, you can only use six active abilities at a time. If you have more skill points than you need, it’s better to invest them in increasing your active skills. In addition, you can skill passive abilities, as you can use an unlimited number of them.

3. Make sure there is enough storage space
Diablo 4 takes up a lot of disk space. Anyone who has participated in one of the previous beta phases can already estimate the file size to be prepared for.
With the system requirements for PC, Blizzard has already confirmed how much storage space needs to be reserved on the PC. For the console versions, there is only the memory size from the server slam as a rough guide. Depending on the platform, you need to free up the following storage space:
The last beta phase occupied about 85 GB of disk space on the PC. So the jump to the full version is only 5 GB. If the console versions behave similarly, you will end up with the final file size below 100 GB.
4. Download the game before release
As mentioned in the introduction, the launch of Diablo 4 is on June 2nd or June 6th, 2023 at 01:00. But you can download the game beforehand so that you can start right away when it’s released.

If you haven’t downloaded Diablo 4 before, you’ll have to wait a bit before it’s released. With the 76GB minimum memory size mentioned above, it will take some time for the game to download depending on your internet connection.

Where can I find the preload? In the PS Store and in the Xbox Store you have to search for Diablo 4. Once you have found the game, just click on Download.

5. Plan your budget
If you haven’t decided on an edition of Diablo 4 yet, you should think carefully about which of the three editions you want to buy. Blizzard offers different paths for the Battle Pass, where you can collect different items for the game.

What are the differences? The free path is accessible to all players and contains Seasonal Boons that can be used to obtain various bonuses. These include, for example, more XP from fallen opponents or the increased duration of elixirs.
The premium path has an additional 63 hours. It only contains cosmetic items that you can use to visually enhance your character. Standard Edition owners do not have access to this. Your 27 free tiers are spread across the 90 tiers.
The 20 level jumps might be of interest to those who don’t have much time to invest game time in Diablo 4. If you have plans in the release period or cannot take a vacation for the release, this path would be a possible option for you.
Danger: The Battle Pass included with the purchase of Diablo 4 is for Season 1 only! After that, you’ll need to purchase a new seasonal Battle Pass every three months if the additional cosmetic items appeal to you.

So think carefully about which of the editions you want to pre-order and which content is worth the price to you. The upgrade from the Digital Deluxe Edition to the Ultimate Edition costs 10 euros, but the associated Battle Pass is 15 euros more expensive individually. So it would be worthwhile to go straight to the Ultimate Edition if you want the 20 level jumps.
The Digital Deluxe Edition is 20 euros more expensive than the Standard Edition, but the associated Battle Pass only costs 10 euros. So if you’re not interested in the early access and additional digital content included with the Digital Deluxe Edition, you can purchase the Battle Pass as is.
