5 Achievements In MMORPGs Hardly Anyone Has Achieved Because They’re So Ridiculously Hard

Achievements play an important role in MMORPGs, whether they’re officially awarded by the game or documented by the players themselves. But which successes are among the toughest? We at MeinMMO will tell you.

What are these achievements? In this list we have collected achievements that are difficult to achieve. These aren’t necessarily the rarest in the game, because rare achievements are often associated with a lot of grind. Above all, achievements for which you have to defeat many players in PvP are often only rarely achieved, such as Warlord of Draenor in WoW or God/Goddess of the Arena in GW2.

We also left out some successes that were only limited in time. An example is the Scarab Lord achievement from WoW, which required you to participate in the Ahn’Qiraj opening event.

The successes selected here are not only related to grind and are therefore also among the most difficult successes in the respective MMORPGs.

The Legend – Final Fantasy XIV

What is this success? For this achievement you have to defeat the endless shadows of Bahamut (fatal) in the raid. This raid was introduced with Patch 4.11 on October 10, 2017 and is aimed at level 60 players.

How many made it? So far 6.1% of all players have managed this raid (via FFXIVCollect). However, the number has only increased slightly in the last few weeks. In November 2021, before the release of the Endwalker expansion, only 4.8% had managed the final boss of the raid, although it had been out for four years.

What makes success so difficult? The boss has some pitfalls:

  • After 14:04 minutes, the boss goes into a hard enrage that makes defeating almost impossible
  • The battle arena is surrounded by a wall that instantly kills players if touched – and the boss has a knockback
  • There is a tornado ability that kills players instantly
  • A player in the distance will be hit by an AoE that they must get out of quickly or they will die instantly
  • There are a number of other abilities that players need to know in depth, including a laser that must hit multiple targets or the targeted person will die
  • In addition, the raid is an ultimate raid. So you will always be scaled down to level 60 and the values at that time. This makes the Shadow of Bahamut a difficult boss even today.

Theoretically, however, success can be bought if you find a group that will pull you through the raid. However, this is frowned upon in the community.

His True Face – Tibia Online

What is this success? His True Face is one of the most mysterious and enigmatic achievements in Tibia Online. For this you have to be teleported to a certain room in a quest.

How many made it? This is unknown. However, it took over 10 years for anyone to capture this success on video.

What makes success so difficult? Nobody knows exactly how success works. With a bit of luck, you will be ported to another room in mission three of the Blood Brothers Quest and then get the achievement. It is currently not known how one is ported and what the requirements are behind it – although the success was discovered in 2010.

It’s not uncommon for Tibia to have an achievement that is completely opaque or difficult to understand. There are still hidden achievements that players haven’t solved even after decades. For example, in March we reported on how players solved a puzzle that they had been gnawing on for over 5 years.

This video from 2021 shows how the His True Face success works:

Tibia itself is also an incredibly exciting MMORPG. It was developed in Germany and was released in 1997. However, the “old school” game has experienced a boom again in recent years.
