The 5.9 magnitude earthquake, with its epicenter in the town of Los Santos, was recorded at 04:18 local time, according to the Colombian Geological Service. It was stated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 151 kilometers from the ground.
The earthquake was felt in the capital Bogota, in the cities of Medellin and Bucaramanga, as well as in neighboring countries Venezuela and Panama.
Authorities reported that there was no loss of life or property in the earthquake.
