A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck northeastern Afghanistan.
The US Geological Survey announced that the epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at 6:56 p.m. local time, was in the Curm district of Badahshan province in the northeast of the country.
It was stated that the magnitude of the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 193 kilometers, was 5.9.

The earthquake was felt in many provinces of Afghanistan, primarily in Kabul, as well as in Pakistan, Tajikistan and India. No information about the damage has been shared yet from Taliban officials.
