The US Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the 5.2-magnitude earthquake was 49 kilometers northwest of the country’s Santa Cruz city.
According to the first determinations, there was no loss of life or property in the earthquake that occurred at a depth of 39.1 kilometers.
Chile, one of the countries with the highest seismic activity in the world, is located in the Pacific Earthquake Belt, also known as the “Ring of Fire”.
