4K TV with dream equipment for under (!) 500 euros at Amazon – you will hardly find a better price-performance ratio

4K TV with dream equipment for under 500 euros

The Chinese TV manufacturer Hisense is known for well-equipped televisions at a low price. But what the Hisense E7KQ Pro under the hood is really amazing. You get a 55-inch QLED display and top-of-the-line equipment currently only 479 euros on sale at Amazon.

The only downside: The Hisense TV currently has a long delivery time of 1 to 2 months. In view of the outstanding price-performance ratio, that shouldn’t be an obstacle.

Hisense 55E7KQ Pro: Incredibly high performance for under 500 EuroQLED displays around the 500 euro mark are no longer science fiction, in the Hisense E7KQ the technology ensures very lifelike and accurate color reproduction. But what sets the TV apart from its competition are the extensive featureswhich is otherwise only seen in devices that are twice as expensive.

Two HDMI 2.1 ports ensure that you can play with your latest generation PS5 or Xbox in 4K with up to 120 fps can experience. The TV has its own game mode, where you can even play with 144Hz and low latency.

The HDR formats Dolby Vision and HDR10+, which ensure a high dynamic range, are both included. Many manufacturers only use one of the two solutions (Sony and LG use Dolby Vision, Samsung has HDR10+), you don’t have to decide here. And Hisense goes one better: modern HDR technologies Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive adjust the picture of the TV in real time to the ambient light in your room.

But not only the picture knows how to delight. The operation of Hisense E7KQ Pro * is well thought out for both TV and streaming. There are buttons of the main streaming portals right on the remote control and the user interface of the Vidaa operating system can be customize to your liking. Language assistance in the form of Alexa and the in-house VIDAA voice is also installed.

Does this all sound too good to be true? Of course, as always, you have to accept a few compromises at the price, but depending on your requirements, they don’t weigh heavily. The picture in HDR mode is not very bright, so the Hisense TV might not be the perfect choice for living rooms with a lot of daylight, as its display is also somewhat reflective. The sound is still only average with the built-in virtual Dolby Atmos, but a soundbar can easily help here. At Amazon, for example, you can get the small but powerful sounding one Bose Smart Soundbar 600* just really cheap.

Hisense 55E7KQ: The cheaper alternative

The only way to get even cheaper is to make further compromises. The Hisense E7KQ (without Pro) also has a QLED display, but it doesn’t have all the modern features of its big brother. But here too you get a very solid television, which is currently available from Amazon just over 400 euros costs.

Going below the price level of the Hisense E7KQ is usually not recommended, as you have to accept too many compromises in image quality. In the author’s experience, the sweet spot of price and performance for 4K TVs in the 55-inch category is usually around 1,000 euros, which is precisely why what’s on offer with the Pro version of the Hisense TV is so attractive.
