San Francisco 49ers safety Jaquiski Tartt openly took the criticism after the team’s 17-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Sunday night’s NFC Championship Game.

Tartt was part of a key moment for the 49ers on the track.

In the fourth quarter, as the Rams lost three points, Matthew Stafford dropped a bombshell on the field, but she was nowhere near Van Jefferson or Odell Beckham Jr. Instead, Tartt got under the bar and it looked like he might have it had done a groundbreaking interception.

Los Angeles would drive down the field and tie the game at 17 apiece with a field goal. On their next drive, the Rams would go on with another field goal and eventually win the game.

Tartt addressed the failed interception in a tweet after the game.

“No excuses!! I deserve all the criticism in my own way! Opportunity I dream of missed out!!! Abandon my brothers!! It still won’t define me as a person/player. It’s only going to get stronger and better,’ he wrote.

Tartt ended his seventh season with the 49ers.
