484 trees not for the ax after all: controversial tree felling Park Huis Doorn off the track

484 trees not for the ax after all controversial tree

Doorn – The nearly five hundred trees that would be felled on the estate at Huis Doorn may still remain. The Central Government Real Estate Agency (RVB) wanted to replace the beeches with trees that are better able to withstand the drought, such as linden trees, tree hazels and certain types of maple. After much protest, the felling of 484 trees is now off the track.
