47Ter at Solidays: “It totally goes with what we are”

47Ter at Solidays It totally goes with what we are

INTERVIEW. The French trio 47Ter was scheduled at the Solidays festival on Friday June 24, 2022. The opportunity for them to confide in their career and their projects.

“We feel good, we can’t wait”. A few hours before going on stage at Solidays, opening the first evening of the Parisian festival, the 47Ter trio is serene. And enjoy the moment. For Miguel Lopes, Pierre-Paul and Blaise Ligouzat, this is a first (or a second, after having participated in the reduced 2021 edition, in tribute to hospital staff). “Solidays, it’s a very big festival (…) it’s the benchmark. So, to be programmed here, it’s incredible. There will be friends, family and everything so it adds something in addition”, underlines Blaise Ligouzat, singer and bassist of the group.

Pierre-Paul, who writes the texts and sings, adds: “And we, in our music, we have a lot of messages of love, solidarity, tolerance, so being at Solidays goes totally with who we are. , what we offer as music.” Scheduled before the rapper Orelsan, headliner of the evening, the three artists from Yvelines performed in front of a large crowd, on the Paris stage of the festival, at sunset.

“Solidays, I don’t think that one day we will do a concert with so many people for us. So that’s what festivals are, you find yourself in stuff like that, it’s phew!”, rejoices Miguel.

Who are the members of 47Ter?

The 47Ter group, founded in 2017, is made up of three artists: Pierre-Paul, Miguel Lopes and Blaise Ligouzat. Their name is a nod to the village hall of Bailly, in the Yvelines, where they met. Pierre-Paul writes and sings. “We compose all three. Blaise on bass and Miguel on guitar. And we sing all three”, underlines the first of the band.

Before living from their music, everyone studied: Pierre-Paul and Blaise went to university, in economic law. Pierre-Paul “stopped after two months, he left me all alone, remembers Blaise. I lasted two years, I don’t know why. We told our parents that we were going to college, we met at my house because they had left, we played ping-pong and we waited for the day to pass. It was not very formative.

Miguel went to airline pilot school. But he too had to put an end to it: “I stopped after two months because the group was starting at the same time and I could no longer do both.”

When is a new album for 47Ter?

After the success of The addresshis first album released in 2019, 47Ter released Legend in 2021. Building on this success, the group is now working on a third album. “We are finishing the next album. At the beginning of next year there is a project that should be released. A project on which there are feats for the first time, we had never done that”, confides Blaise Ligouzat. Appointment is made.
