Yellow vigilance is the second level of the Météo France meteorological vigilance scale, which has four: green, yellow, orange and red. The yellow level signals weather phenomena which, although locally dangerous, have no major risks for the population as a whole. However, they may require special attention, especially for people practicing activities sensitive to weather risks.

These thunderstorms can be accompanied by strong precipitation, gusts of wind, hail and an intense electrical activity. Although these thunderstorms are not as severe as those placed under orange or red vigilance, they can still cause significant disturbances, including localized floods.
