Even when it reopened in 2018, funding was tight and the cost-saving measures, including the closure on Tuesdays, have not been enough.
“The business is threatened by phenomenally high property costs which could lead to the museum having to close or be forced to terminate the lease with the Norwegian Property Agency and move away from the museum building on Blasieholmen” writes Susanna Pettersson who concludes:
“The responsibility for this lies with the government.”
