4-year-old Liza Dmitrieva died in the Russian rocket attacks on the city of Vinnytsia in Ukraine last week. Her death has become a symbol of the atrocities of war – and has upset people around the world. The girl was filmed by her mother when they were on their way to the speech therapist just before the attacks. On Sunday, Liza was buried surrounded by grieving loved ones, without her mother still in hospital.
– There is no punishment for people who do that. It’s just pain, despair and great pain, says Ilona who is a friend of Liza’s family.
